Carlisle Sports Association Wrestling Tournament information
2008-2009
The Carlisle Sports Association will host its 47th annual wrestling tournament on December 12th and 13th.. This years’ field sees six returning tournament champions, eleven state place winners and five new teams to an already strong field. Bermudian Springs looks to make it four strait championships along with Big Spring, Boiling Springs, host Carlisle, Cedar Crest, Chambersburg, Conestoga Valley, Fairfield, Greencastle-Antrim, Northern Lebanon, Red Land, Shippensburg, Susquenita and West York. Newcomers include Milton Hershel, District III team tournament qualifiers Hempfield and Reading along with Pennsylvania and Virginia power’s Middletown and Millbrook (VA) respectively.
The tournament is a double elimination bracket tournament with wrestle backs to sixth place. Trophies are awarded to the top three teams and a plaque presented to the Outstanding Wrestler and the wrestler with the most falls in the least amount of time in the championship bracket.
