The Middle School Library is located at the front of the building
directly across the hallway from the school office. The collection contains
approximately 15,000 books and subscribes to over 20 magazines and several
daily newspapers. Also available at Lamberton are over 75 complete text Books-On-Tape.
There are currently 9 Internet capable computers available as well as a
wireless computer lab cart with 25 computers. The library is
completely automated for circulation. This includes a Web based automated
catalog. Students must have a current ID in order to borrow materials and
must have a signed Acceptable Use Form on file for Internet use. The Carlisle School district Internet Use Agreement must
be signed by parents and students when they enter the middle school. The library
materials borrowing period is 12
school days for regular books and overnight (AM return required) for
reference and special collections. Fines are charged for overdue materials.
The fine is $.10 per day.
A photocopy machine is available for student use at a cost of $.15 per copy.
The machine enlarges and reduces as well as can give change for a dollar.
There are pen and pencil machines also available. These machines require
quarters. Regular pencils and pens are $.25 each and gel pens, mechanical
pencils, and stick erasers are $.50 each.
The library is open every school day from 7:30 AM to 2:50 PM. Special
arrangements can be made with Mrs. Winter to stay after school until 3:30 PM
for library use. Remember Lamberton is days 2, 4, & 6 and Wilson is days 1,
3, & 5. Students may purchase replacement I.D. cards for $ 3.00 They must
do this at the School Office.
